Electronic Medical Records will allow easier documentation of the things we talk about and do at your office visit. It will allow for prescriptions that are checked for drug interactions, allergies, and formulary status, before they are sent to the pharmacy.
     Your chart will be kept in a more concise way which will allow summation of your health status on one page which can be reviewed at every visit, helping us to take better care of you. This summation will automatically be updated each time you come in. We will be developing electronic interfaces with the local hospitals and labs, allowing for direct entry of your lab results into your record for our review.
     There will be written patient instructions that you can read! We can search to find all patients with a certain medical condition or medication in the event of new information that could be helpful to that patient.
     We are excited! We are still be evolving process over the next few months.  If we look frantic at times - you will know why.
